We practice Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu, a millennium martial art transmitted by Takeda Sokaku Sensei to Ueshiba Morihei Sensei, who both taught Nakatsu Heizaburo Sensei, who himself has trained our own teachers, Chiba Tsugutaka Sensei and Masahito Onishi Sensei. This unbroken lineage helped preserve the teaching of Takeda Sensei (more then 2000 techniques) and allows us to practice it today.
Who can practice?
Our practice is for everyone, adults and children, men and women, united in the study of the 118 basic techniques contained in the first five Kajo (principles) transmitted by Morihei Ueshiba Sensei and Takeda Sokaku Sensei. The purpose of this learning these effective martial techniques is to achieve harmony and avoid conflicts. It also allows the development of personality and the elevation of the spirit through the promotion of friendship and body conditioning.
